  • API's Casting Finishing department

    Casting Finishing

    Flash, excess metal and/or imperfections are removed and/or sandblasted from casted metal parts. Non-destructive testing (NDT), fluorescent-penetrant inspection (FPI) and finishing tasks are done timely by personnel with over 12 years of experience.

  • API's Core Prep department

    Core Prep

    Prepped according to customer specifications utilizing various materials such as melted waxes for filling, super glue wax glue, wax chill, tape and chaplet application, ceramic cores of all sizes and shapes are turned daily to provide our customers an “injection ready” product.

    Our 13 years of experience helps to ensure a quality product shipped timely to meet customer schedules.

  • API's Plastic Injection department

    Plastic Injection

    Small plastic components ranging from .018" to .220" in thickness are injected at API Pattern Works, Inc. The 'chaplets', used in our core prep processes, are held to the tightest of tolerances (.002" or less), and can be produced to the customer’s material and color preference.

  • API's Wax Injection department

    Wax Injection

    The wax injection department is home to 12 wax presses ranging from 12 to 50 ton capacity allowing its manpower to inject a variety of wax patterns (both cored and solid), runners, gates, and sprues as well as soluble goods for its customer base.

    Injection personnel also provide ultrasonic wall and x-ray inspection.

    Wax Pattern Dress and Assembly

    The wax pattern dressing department currently employs 40 people and continues to grow. With 10 years of experience, the employees dress, pin, gate and ramp wax patterns. They are also knowledgeable in equiax, DS, and single-crystal pattern assembly for dip-ready clusters.
